Wedding Stationery Trends for 2023
Weddings are very trend-heavy. Don’t believe me? Look back at the weddings from the early 2000s. Shiny taffeta gowns with spaghetti straps, anyone?
After scouring the internet for trend predictions, this is the list that I’ve come up with. Are any of these in line with your wedding planning vision boards?
Values-Driven Stationery
Couples are looking to support businesses that align with their personal values, like women-owned businesses or those that use eco-friendly materials.
Maximizing the Digital Era
Yes, weddings should have formal paper invitations mailed to guests. Due to the nature of this kind of event, an evite just feels improper. But, this doesn’t mean that guests can’t be encouraged to use a digital RSVP.
Regency Era Stationery
Thanks to the popularity of Bridgerton, the Regency era has really taken hold in the wedding industry. And who wouldn’t want to dance the night away in stunning gowns to the music of a string quartet?
Challenging Etiquette
Weddings should be a balance of traditions with your personal style. I’ve studied wedding etiquette for nearly nine years because you should know the rules in order to know when to break them. And it seems as though we have another year of rule-breaking before us. This is usually in the form of omitting the couple’s last names on the invitations or dropping the formality when addressing envelopes.
Retro Disco
Put on the ABBA songs because you are a dancing queen! If you plan on taking it back to the 70’s, go all in!
Other wedding stationery trends for 2023 include:
Vellum, Acrylic, Wax Seals, Illustrations, and Colorful Envelopes. All of which happen to be some of my favorite things! Whether or not you’re looking to incorporate any of these 2023 trends into your wedding planning, Christine Kirby Studios can assist you with the stationery of your dreams.
