Mission Inn: Inn Love Showcase

In May, I was asked to join the Mission Inn: Inn Love Showcase, where four teams of wedding professionals create four different mock weddings, to showcase different areas of the property. I was placed on the Red team in the La Hacienda space. We came together that morning to create a wedding ceremony and reception space.

I remember being pretty busy in May, so it was by some miracle (called “coffee and no sleep”) that I was able to create as much as I did. I put together an invitation suite with watercolor red florals and modern calligraphy. I handmade the vow books, complete with rose gold calligraphy and tassels.

On the tablescape, I hand-dipped the placecards in red watercolor to give them an ombre effect and finished them off with rose gold modern calligraphy. For the table number, I hand-painted it in rose gold to coordinate the look.

For the outside ceremony space, I designed and printed coordinating programs and a hand-painted Welcome sign on canvas.
