A Tale as Old as Time

For living behind the land of dreams (aka Walt Disney World resorts), I don’t really have the opportunity often to create a fairytale come true. That was until this past July 4, I was part of a team that really made some magic!

Lynn & Dan are from really close to where I used to live in Virginia, so it made me even happier that I had the chance to work with them. I created a storybook welcome sign to greet their guests. I hand-drew the stained glass window pulling inspiration from the movie Beauty and the Beast. The book helped set the mood by including a fairytale about the couple.

For the ceremony, the couple wanted to assign seats for their guests (we are still one foot in a pandemic after all!), and in keeping with the theme I got to create bookmarks that included calligraphy of their guests’ names. The other side had their names, so they doubled as favors.

For their reception, another storybook greeted guests as a seating chart that called each table a “chapter” in their new story together. On the tables, I created the calligraphy place cards on mini cloches (that held mini red rose cupcakes!) And finally, each guest received a thank you card inside a laser cut glitter folio. Each card had a love quote from different Disney (Pixar and Star Wars included!) movies as well as a personal note from the couple.

The photos look like they came right from Pinterest! It was an absolute honor to be a part of the Vendor team that made this fairytale come to life.

And now, Lynn & Dan live happily ever after!
